Responding emergency crews found a woman in the middle of the Saugatuck River, struggling to fight the current. Police say 76-year-old Richard Lamendola, of Syosset, New York, was killed in the crash Saturday night. Authorities found him a half hour later by the Bridge Street bridge, north of the restaurant. DeMaree Atkins was sitting in the backseat of her mother Toyia Thomas' Honda Accord as it headed east on Sam Houston Parkway when a white Pontiac slammed into the vehicle. Boston made history on Friday when the temperature reached 71 degrees just after noon, setting a new all-time record high for the warmest observed temperature in February, according to the National Weather Service . Mr. Hendricks said it's especially important to note that the region is averaging about 8.3 degrees above normal for this time of year. Payment is made through the app. Lyft said it planned to begin operating in eight Iowa cities at noon Thursday in addition to Iowa City, including Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, Ames, Davenport, Des Moines, Sioux City and Waterloo. This makes 94 new markets Lyft is operating in since the beginning of 2017, bringing the total number of cities to almost 300. Other Georgia cities in which the company has drivers are Alpharetta, Athens, Atlanta, Gilroy, LaGrange, Marietta and Savannah. (more...)
