GE has been under intense pressure to cut expenses and pledged in March to cut $1 billion in annual industrial expenses for each of the next two years, which is twice the level of cuts originally laid out. McCormick saw off competition from Unilever and Hormel Foods, the USA owner of Spam, to buy the division. Kurzius said in a statement. The company announced in February it would buy baby formula maker Mead Johnson for $16.6 billion. This fate looks shaky as USA shale producers are already pulling back and reports of investment capital for shale is drying up. According to the special agent's report, Hudek came out again only two minutes later when he suddenly lunged for the exit door and grabbing at the handle in an attempt to open it. The US Attorney's Office has charged Hudek with interfering with a flight crew. He remained "extremely combative" all the way back to Seattle and needed to be restrained by multiple passengers until the Delta flight landed, according to the complaint. (more...)
