Google Unites Payment Offerings As Google Pay

Bringing it all together with Google Pay - Google Blog

Pali Bhat, VP of Product Management, Payments, concludes in the company's blog post, "Bringing everything into one brand is just the first step for Google Pay". It's joining with Airbnb, Dice, HungryHouse, and Instacart in the launch of a revamped Google Pay - touted as bringing together Google's various payment platforms, including Android Pay and Google Wallet, under one unified service. The new Google Pay will be available across all Google products, through vendors who accept it whether online or in store at physical locations, or even to move money between private individuals.

Here's where it gets a little confusing. That's not all, as entering the promo code "GooglePay2018" at the Fandango app checkout until January 18 and completing a movie ticket purchase using Google Pay will net you a cool $5 discount. Does that mean it's rolling out to more websites? "We can't wait to share more". Now, the Google has announced a new payment system named Google Pay. That being the case, if Google already has your payment info, you'll be able to purchase goods and services with a simple click, similar to the Apple Pay feature on the iPhone.

Maryland native DeWanda Wise to make Marvel movie debut in 'Captain Marvel'
During her tenure, Monica did some big projects as she joined the Avengers and even came to lead the team. There is no word on what her role will be, but there has been some speculation about who it could be.

"The timing is important because Google Pay wants to capture and build momentum around mobile payments before competition gets any more intense".

"Some consumers may think this is a totally new payment platform, but in-store mobile payment usage is low anyway, so the largest potential impact will be with online sales, and that's where Google is trying to compete against Amazon, PayPal and the card networks", Pucci said.
