Agitated Trump Aide Stephen Miller Thrown Off Live TV Interview

Trump CNN’s Jake Tapper ‘destroyed’ in Miller interview

President Trump applauded 32-year-old Stephen Miller for completing the two-pronged mission of going on CNN and yelling at Jake Tapper for the network's Trump coverage - while criticizing the president's newest enemy, Steve Bannon, as well.

In addition to assailing Mr. Bannon, Mr. Miller sharply criticized Mr. Wolff and his book, saying it "is best understood as a work of very poorly written fiction".

The role of Bannon (who refers to Miller as his "typist" in the book) "has been greatly exaggerated", Miller said, "whereas the President hasn't gotten the due that he deserves".

Even as the White House continues to deny the legitimacy of Michael Wolff's book Fire and Fury, the Trump administration surrogates sent on television are stuck talking about it anyway-and when they try to avoid it, the chaos only expands. The book quotes Bannon as saying a 2016 Trump Tower meeting between Trump campaign officials and a Russian lawyer purportedly offering damaging information about Hillary Clinton was "treasonous".

When Tapper tried to get him back on track to talk about the meeting, Miller replied, 'I have no knowledge of anything to do with that meeting'.

Mr. Trump, however, defended Miller, tweeting shortly after it aired that his aide "destroyed" Tapper during the appearance.

Miller accused CNN of "anti-Trump hysterical coverage" following the Friday release of the book, which portrays Trump, a former reality TV start who took office almost a year ago, as mentally unstable and unfit for the demands of his job.

Cancer Death Rates Fall: Here's Why
Cancer deaths have fallen yet again, thanks mostly to huge declines in smoking , the American Cancer Society said Thursday. The report estimates about 1.7 million people will develop cancer and about 610,000 will die from it in 2018.

What began as a routine interview on his show, State of the Union, quickly turned into a battle to be heard, with Tapper trying to fit in his questions as Miller shouted over him with increasing anger.

CNN's Jake Tapper has a message for top White House aide Stephen Miller: Stop wasting my viewers' time. Trump publicly broke with Bannon last week after the remarks were publicized before the book's publication.

Miller, meanwhile, said that Trump was the mastermind behind the campaign. 'Watch the hatred and unfairness of this CNN flunky!'

Extracts from Fire and Fury have raised questions about Trump's mental health, which in turn led to the former reality TV star to tweet he was a "very stable genius". "And I think I've wasted enough of my viewers' time".

"I'm sure he's watching and he's happy that you said that", Tapper responded.

'The president's tweets absolutely reaffirm the plainspoken truth: A self-made billionaire revolutionized reality TV and tapped into something magical that is happening in the hearts of this country, ' Miller said.

Miller on Sunday echoed the language of the White House's statement to attack Bannon as well as CNN. "You're being obsequious, you're being a factotum in order to please him, OK?"
