Denver Nuggets' Paul Millsap Out Indefinitely

Paul Millsap

He is Denver's second-leading scorer (15.3 points) and rebounder (6.2 per game) behind standout center Nikola Jokic and has been praised for his veteran leadership in the Nuggets' locker room.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski added that league sources say the talented forward could be sidelined three months.

Millsap suffered the injury in the Nuggets' road loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night.

Adamawa has been the scene of repeated attacks by insurgents in recent years. The attacks often leave only the bomber dead.

In the off-season, Millsap signed a two-year, $61 million deal with the Nuggets that includes a club option for a third season in 2019-20.

As aptly pointed out by The Ringer, Millsap has played a huge role in Denver's success this season.

The 32-year-old power forward has played in 73 games or more in nine of his 11 National Basketball Association seasons. In Millsap's absence, the Nuggets will look to the likes of Kenneth Faried and Trey Lyles to contribute. Houston is outscoring opponents by 8.8 points per 100 possessions, a mark that only Golden State exceeds. Faried is averaging 4.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 10.7 minutes per game this season - all of which represent career lows. He scored 17 points in 24 minutes in the Rockets' win over the Grizzlies on Saturday. Small forward Wilson Chandler, who missed Monday's game with back soreness, went through shootaround and is available tonight, Malone said.
