SUNY Oswego may revoke Charlie Rose's honorary degree amid sex misconduct claims

CBS suspends Charlie Rose; PBS halts his show after allegations

The women were employed, or hoping to be, at PBS's "Charlie Rose" show from the late '90s to 2011, the Washington Post reported.

Eight women who worked for Rose or tried to work from him have accused Rose of various misconduct, including groping them, walking naked in front of them and telling one that he dreamed about her swimming nude.

An internal memo said the decision "followed the revelation yesterday of extremely disturbing and intolerable behavior".

"CBS This Morning" co-hosts Gayle King and Norah O'Donnell talked about the allegations against Rose during Tuesday's broadcast, admitting it was a hard morning for them but applauded the women who came forward. Bravo also recounted instances where Rose groped her in the back off a vehicle and got on top of her while they were on a private airplane.

"Charlie does not get a pass here", King said.

Rose has been one of three hosts of "CBS This Morning" since 2012 and is also a contributor to "60 Minutes". "And I've been doing a lot of listening and I'm going to continue to do that", O'Donnell said.

It is unknown if the network is commissioning a formal investigation into who knew what about the misconduct allegations, and when they may have known it.

Terry Glenn Killed In Car Accident
At this time, Glenn is believed to be survived by his fiancee and three children, according to 247 Sports . The vehicle rolled and the driver was ejected from the auto , who was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Washington Post reporter says more than a dozen other women have reached out to share their stories, since the article first appeared Monday.

Following The Post's report, PBS and Bloomberg said they would halt distribution of Rose's namesake interview program, which is produced by Charlie Rose Inc., an independent television production company. "I should have stood up for them", said Vega, 52.

"It feels branded into me, the details of it", Godfrey-Ryan said. For example, when Bravo worked a side job at Rose's house, she was told by a co-worker, "If Rose did anything "sketchy"... she should not hesitate to call the show's auto service to return home", the Post said. By Tuesday morning, CBS executives determined that it was impossible for him to return to "CBS This Morning", the daily broadcast he has co-hosted for the past five years. There are so many incredible people here, especially on this show, all of you here.

In a statement posted to Twitter, the veteran host said: "I deeply apologise for my inappropriate behavior". I am greatly embarrassed. "I have behaved insensitively at times, and I accept responsibility for that, though I do not believe that all of these allegations are accurate", Rose said in a statement".

I'm deeply disappointed and angry that people were victimized-and that even people not connected with these events could see their hard work undermined.

Rose said he had now "come to a profound new respect for women and their lives".
