Selena Gomez accused of lip syncing during first performance in a year

Some of Selena's fans defended her, applauding her show of such strength after receiving a kidney transplant just a few months ago.

The 25-year-old singer has been out of the spotlight for the past year, and recently revealed she had undergone a kidney transplant as part of her ongoing battle against the debilitating disease lupus. The award function also saw many of A-listers such as Selena Gomez, Heidi Klum, Demi Lovato and more flaunting their style and setting the red carpet on fire.

Whether its her hair on the red carpet or her AMAs performance of "Wolves", Gomez is officially trending worldwide on Twitter.
