Restaurants and coffee shops around the Capital Region are offering freebies for both veterans and active-duty military members this Veterans Day. Guests only need to show a valid military ID or proof of service to redeem this offer.

All veterans and active duty military personnel can choose a complimentary meal from a select menu on Veterans Day 2017.

- Buffalo Wild Wings: Free small order of traditional or boneless wings with a side of fries.

Head to any Chili's Restaurant on Veteran's Day and get a free menu item off of their special menu consisting of five choices.

Denny's: Free "Build Your Own Grand Slam" for veterans and active military on Friday from 5 a.m.to noon.

Hooters: Get a free entree from a special Veterans Day menu.

On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina: This casual dining Mexican restaurant will give military members the VIP treatment with a combo free meal from open to close.

Great Clips is offering a free haircut on Veterans Day For active duty military members and veterans.

IHOP: Veterans can grab a free stack of Red, White and Blue pancakes on Friday.

Free $5 Hot-n-Ready lunch combo on Saturday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Ruby Tuesday: Veterans will receive a free appetizer.

Denny's: Active, inactive and retired military personnel can get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam from 5 a.m.to noon on Friday, (not Veterans Day, which is November 11).
