Call of Duty: WWII has Surpassed $500 Million During Opening Weekend

WW2 Gets Guns Back

Activision's Call of Duty®: WWII has surpassed more than $500 million in sell-through worldwide in its first three days of release, topping popular theatrical box office openings Thor: Ragnarok and Wonder Woman combined, according to company estimates.

Along with the massive monetary figure, the first-person shooter also set a PlayStation 4 record by becoming the "best-selling digital full game", by units sold on day-one. This is clearly seen in its overall sales, as COD WW2 has already made more than $500 million in its first three days available on sale. In Call of Duty: WWII, you won't be ending the games right away with the V2 Rocket killstreak, but you'll still do some serious damage as shown towards the end of the PwnStarz video shown below, assuming you can meet the requirements. In comparison, the newest Call of Duty had a bigger opening weekend than Thor: Ragnarok and Wonder Woman combined!

Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg said, "We challenged our players to get their squads back together and they answered the call, with the highest number of players we've ever seen on current gen consoles and PC".

Cancer Doctors Cite Risks of Drinking Alcohol
Moderate drinkers also face elevated risks for cancers of the voice box, female breast cancer and colorectal cancers . It finds that approximately 3.5 percent of all cancer deaths in the US can be attributed to alcohol consumption.

Call of Duty: WWII already dominated the United Kingdom charts, making it all the way to the top, but now Activision has revealed just how well it did worldwide. Call of Duty: WWII's new Headquarters social hub, which allows gamers to interact and even watch others open lootboxes, and the new Nazi Zombies multiplayer mode are paying off quite well: these modes pulled in more connected users on consoles and PC than any other Call of Duty game.

Activision's annual Call of Duty: WW2 sales press release is in, and amongst the bombastic headlines are a couple of genuinely interesting tidbits.
