House Intel Releases Carter Page's Testimony

Speculation has abounded about what Jeff Sessions knows about Russia's election interference efforts and whether the attorney general perjured himself at his confirmation hearing and before the Senate's Russian Federation probe in June.

Page vehemently denied meeting with the two Russians.

The issue emerged after it was revealed that George Papadopoulos, a volunteer adviser to the Trump campaign, proposed to set up a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin during a discussion in March 2016.

Lewandowski, Page said, approved of the trip, as long as he was going by himself and not affiliated with the campaign.

Feinstein, who is also a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said she had not seen any evidence that any "dirt" regarding emails linked to Hillary Clinton, which court records said Papadopoulos discussed with a foreign contact close to the Russian government, was given to the Trump campaign.

That contradicts what Lewandowski himself has claimed, having told USA Today last March that he granted "nobody" permission to travel to Russian Federation. Hicks is now the White House communications director.

Page, in his testimony, denied meeting an official mentioned in the so-called Trump dossier as "Divyekin".

Another Daily Beast reporter, Harry Siegel, noticed that Page both pleaded the Fifth and also insisted he'd done nothing wrong. Their conversation, he told investigators, was not about coordination with Russian Federation on the campaign, but largely limited to an exchange of pleasantries.

He wrote to Gordon and Tera Dahl, a former columnist at Breitbart, that he would send them a memo "regarding some incredible insights and outreach I've received from a few Russian legislators and senior members of the presidential administration here".

"In a private conversation, Dvorkovich expressed strong support for Mr. Trump and a desire to work together toward devising better solutions in response to the vast range of current global problem", stated the email, which was read aloud in the interview by California Rep. Adam Schiff, the committee's top Democrat.

Page explained that the insights he was referring to were the "general things" he observed from listening to speeches and watching Russian television.

Page also acknowledged to members of Congress that he has had at least four meetings with the FBI related to the Russian Federation investigation.

President Trump also calls the Russian Federation investigation a witch hunt and has repeatedly said there was no collusion between his campaign and the Kremlin.
