The Switch's New Video Capture Function Isn't Great

Super Mario Odyssey news: Hidden secret discovered in new Nintendo Switch UPDATE

Nintendo released a system update for its Switch console that introduced the ability to record 30-second gameplay snippets, transfer save data between devices, and more.

The update also adds a way to transfer user data to another Switch, something that was actually impossible to do before.

Nintendo has just rolled out a new system update for the Nintendo Switch and it's a big one.

There's also a neat little feature that allows you to update your game to the same version as someone nearby, with the Match Version With Local Users option.

The new feed has been updated to allow you to remove a channel's content by unfollowing it in the feed. That gives Nintendo the opportunity to possibly be the first!

State of Emergency Declared for Richard Spencer Speech
Rick Scott got backing from Cabinet members for the state of emergency he declared in Alachua County . Bristow is seeking to schedule Spencer's speech at Ohio State for sometime this winter.

Nintendo Insider is reporting that the latest update went out yesterday for Nintendo Switch owners. I can't see myself using the video capture feature on the Switch all that often (especially since I only regularly play one of the four now supported games), but it's better than spamming the screenshot button in the hopes of building a flipbook. However this means that players can not back up their data in any way still in case of damage or loss of their Switch. That feature is coming for future games. The saved footage features the last 30 seconds of gameplay and can be trimmed before it is shared.

Nintendo has managed to lead the industry in video game hardware sales - by a wide margin - for September, which is a very promising sign going into the holiday shopping season.

Upcoming games for the system include Fire Emblem Warriors (October 20), Super Mario Odyssey (October 27), DOOM (November 10), The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (November 17) and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (December 1).

Here's a video I captured from Splatoon 2 and posted on Facebook. The option is inside system settings under users.
