The Pixel 2 and its Bud

Here are all the other gadgets that Google announced last night

Most of the mainstream coverage of the event would have been about the new Pixel 2 phone. Or maybe you're still on the fence about whether or not to get one of Google's newest smartphones? It is also important to note that all of Samsung's 2017 flagship family have narrowed bezels and somehow the Korean giant managed to incorporate an IP68 water-resistance rating as well as a headphone jack.

However, many people are not happy with the idea. The story is clear now - AI is the future, and the Pixels, Google Homes, and everything else, exist just to get that AI into our homes.

Pixel 2 comes in three colours- just black, clearly white, and kinda blue; Pixel 2 XL is available in two colours- black & white and just black. You'll be forgiven, though, if you find your current smartphone camera is plenty good enough.

Google Clips is another new product revealed last night, being a standalone camera packed with Google smarts. Artificial Intelligence, one of its software positive characteristic will help it in improving the design of its hardware component. But when it comes to cameras, seeing is believing, which is why over the weekend Google published a collection of stunning, unedited photos and videos taken on the Pixel 2. With the two phones, there's no doubt that Google is after the two leaders in the industry - Samsung and Apple. And the power it has when paired with the Pixel 2 is quite something as well.

Now, that we are already aware how impressive Pixel 2's camera setup is, let's look at its camera samples. Inevitably, Google's competitors will attempt to apply the same techniques to their phones. Instead of taking photos of those poster (like you always do these days), Google Lens will save them and allows you to skip the photo taking part. But for us search specialists, we are interested in the new Google Home speaker products which all have the Google Assistant built in.

The Home Max, however, is geared for quality audio and again, it uses AI to deliver it. For instance, a #Do Not Disturb feature has been discovered in the handsets, which can be turned on while driving.

Sonos introduced a similar feature called TruePlay a few years ago, but it required manual interaction from the user. The only sad thing about this is, you'll need to upgrade to the "Plus" version to get this, which costs up to $5.

The Google Home Mini sports a much smaller form factor than its larger brethren, created to take on Amazon's Echo Dot, and matches its $49.99 price tag.
