Centurion Karunaratne leads the way for Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka won the first Test against Pakistan by 21 runs

The match, second of the two-game series, is Sri Lanka's first day-night Test with the pink ball.

Sami Aslam was trapped leg before by Dilruwan Perera, the offspinner, for 39 to leave Pakistan two down for 65.

Pakistan suffered a major setback ahead of the ODI series against Sri Lanka when the fast bowler M Aamir was ruled out of the five-match series due to a stress injury in his right shin.

However, after beating Pakistan at their home venue, the Lions are in great confidence in second match.

At one point, he managed to fetch one boundary per over for four successive overs as Karunaratne at the other end went past his highest Test score.

Karunaratne added 146 with skipper Dinesh Chandimal (62) for the fourth wicket before another 88 were put on for the fifth between him and Niroshan Dickwella, who made a rapid 52. Dickwella played important role like first test.

Rohingya refugees and rights groups have accused the army of setting the fires with the help of Buddhist vigilante mobs. Hasina said that at one stage after the forced exodus of Rohingyas the Myanmar "pretended like they wanted a war".

Karunaratne's superb innings of 196 came off 405 balls and included 19 boundaries and a six.

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old Dimuth Karunaratne scored his seventh Test Century, and scored unbeaten 133 runs at Stumps.

The Openers Dimuth Karunaratne and Kaushal Silva gave a 63-run impressive beginning to Sri Lanka but then Yasir Shah clinched the first triumph for Pakistan as Silva was caught by Sarfraz Ahmed off Shah for 27. Herath's threat won't be dissipating one bit, he'll remain the same.

Leg-spinner Yasir Shah was the pick of bowlers with 2-90 while Amir returned figures of 1-59.

Shah took 6-184 in a marathon 55.5 overs of hard work and toil on a flat Dubai stadium pitch. Herath also reached 100 wickets against Pakistan during the first Test, but Chandimal warned that the Sri Lankan's opponents should not be taken lightly.

A combination of fitness issues, low bowling resources and a charged-up Sri Lankan team have brought Pakistan to the brink of their first Test series defeat in UAE ever since they moved base to the country after the terrorist strike on the Sri Lankan team in Lahore in 2009.
