NYPD Swarms Manhattan Block in Search for Shooter at Construction Site

News outlets have identified the construction worker who murdered his former foreman at a Midtown construction site before turning the gun on himself as Samuel Perry, 44, of Far Rockaway, Queens.

The shooting occurred just after 7 a.m. Thursday at Three Waterline Square, a complex of three under-construction luxury condo high-rises located on West 59th Street near 11th Avenue.

The suspect, who was a disgruntled former employee of the construction company, was later found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to a law enforcement source. "The shooter had a dispute with the foreman and shot him several times".

Just days after a construction worked was sacked from a Midtown worksite, he fatally shot his former boss and then himself, the NYPD said.

Neighbors say Perry had actually warned them he'd act out after getting fired from the site.

Perry had reportedly been hinting at his deadly plan a day or two before carrying it out. A 9 mm semi-automatic weapon was recovered at the scene.

IL children health insurance at risk
They don't burn through the federal money all at once, and leftover funds can be rolled over into the following year's funding. Auditor General Eugene DePasquale urged prompt funding of the Children's Helath Insurance Program on Tuesday.

Foreman Christopher Sayers was shot in the head on the 37th floor of the Manhattan building Thursday morning. "He calls me "Old G" because I'm an old man, then he goes about his business".

He added that Perry had asked him to watch his dog a few days ago, saying that he'd have to shoot the dog in the head and bury it if he didn't take it.

Co-worker Dennis Greaves, who knew Sayers and Perry, told The New York Times that Sayers was a good foreman.

McCormack told the Post that Perry had been arrested twice for assault and once for burglary in the past.

"He comes in the morning right there, real early". "He's a quiet guy".

"It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to two union brothers today", Local 212 said in a statement, according to the Post.
