Jane Fonda: Megyn Kelly's plastic surgery question was 'weird'

THURSDAY SEPT 21 2017 FILE

Jane Fonda shut down NBC's Megyn Kelly when she asked her about going under the knife, a subject that the Hollywood veteran has spoken about in the past. Fonda called out Kelly on-air, asking "We really want to talk about that now?" and proceeded to expertly shift the conversation back to her film.

"Well, one of the things people think about when they look at you is how wonderful you look", Kelly told Fonda. "You look awesome. I read that you say you're not proud to admit you've had work done-why not?"

Kelly did not budge. "Well, one of the things people think when they look at you is how wonderful you look", Kelly responded.

"In both, it's the female character who kind of draws out the male character", Fonda said. "Good attitude, good posture, take care of myself". In response to an Instagram commenter who asked the actress why she and her castmates appeared on Kelly's show, Messing revealed that she believed she was making a stop on Today Show and was "dismayed" by Kelly's remarks.

On Thursday night's Watch What Happens Live, Today show host Savannah Guthrie answered a viewer's question about her colleague's first week. Kelly asked her guest, Russell.

After Kelly informed Russell that the show had awarded him tickets to a taping of Will & Grace, along with a backstage tour, she told him that his "gay thing" was gong to "work out great".

Pentagon welcomes Russia's elimination of its chemical stockpile
The OPCW oversees global efforts to eliminate chemical weapons under the Chemical Weapons Convention that took effect in 1997. Russian Federation has ended the destruction of its chemical arsenal ahead of schedule, President Vladimir Putin said.

Cameraman expletives aside, Kelly did dig some part of her own clumsy grave on this morning's show. "I think Jane didn't want to go there", Redford commented.

The segment ended a rollercoaster week for the program, which now serves as the third hour of NBC's daily "Today" show lineup. Besides criticized over her awkward interview with Fonda, Kelly was scrutinized over her cringey comments during a sit-down with "Will & Grace" cast.

Let's just say that former Fox News star Megyn Kelly's first week as a morning show host at NBC has been a bit of a mixed bag.

Lahren continued, "It's harder for a conservative, especially when you're on a liberal network". "Regret going on", she wrote. It was clear to anyone with a rudimentary understanding of human emotion that she was not happy.

Ms. Kelly's "whatever" in Trumpian terms seems to be showing and it's not a pretty sight - no matter her well-coiffed looks.
