Trump slams Facebook as lawmakers await ads amid Russian Federation probe

Russians funded a Facebook ad campaign for Jill Stein in 2016

He is accusing Facebook, along with The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the TV news networks of all being "anti-Trump" and, therefore, colluding against him.

Russian-purchased Facebook advertising, which Trump has dismissed as part of a larger "hoax", has recently come under scrutiny in probes examining Russia's role in election meddling.

The former Green presidential hopeful was backed by at least one Facebook ad bought by Russian Federation ahead of the 2016 election, with Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump also benefiting from the adverts, a report from Politico said. Last June, cybersecurity experts at the company found that the Russian hacking group Fancy Bear was setting up several "shadowy accounts" on Facebook to amplify the reach of the hacked DNC emails, according to The Post.

Japanese Prime Minister Abe calls for early elections
The latest poll numbers are on his side, too: Abe's Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) now enjoys 44% support over a frayed and divided opposition.

But Russia bought ads on Facebook clearly created to help Trump win the White House, he knows it, and that's why he's posting this tweet now.

But he followed up his "anti-Trump" post by touting who he said is "Pro-Trump!" - the American people. It is also suspected that these Russian actors had an impact on the results of the elections, and if not, then they had vast influence. "Virtually no President has accomplished what we have accomplished in the first 9 months-and economy roaring" Trump said in a second tweet. Alexander Zharov, chief of the Federal Communications Agency, told Russian news agencies on Tuesday Sept. 26, 2017, that they will work to "make Facebook comply with the law" on personal data which obliges foreign companies to store it in Russia. A long time after that, Facebook revealed that it shared the information on ads with Mr. Mueller and his team.
