Trump 'not happy' with U.S. health chief Price over private travel

Politico: Price Visited Family Members, Longtime Friends On Private Jet Trips

Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price has twice used a private jet, paid for with taxpayer funds, to travel to destinations where he owns property, Politico reports. I am not happy with it. "I'm not happy about it, and I let him know it".

Asked by reporters whether he would fire Price, Trump said, "we'll see".

U.S. President Donald Trump and HHS Secretary Tom Price walk to a House Republican closed party conference on Capitol Hill, on March 21, 2017 in Washington, DC.

Much like he did with immigration, Trump reportedly told lawmakers he would work with Democrats if the GOP could not get health care reform accomplished, according to Reuters.

The news outlet found that since at least May, Price had racked up more than $400,000 in costs for 26 private flights, a total that includes $56,500 for trips just last week, all at the expense of taxpayers.

The President's comments came hours after the House Oversight Committee signaled that it was reviewing press reports about private charter jet trips taken by Price and other top officials in the Trump Administration.

With several key players missing, Mourinho has urged his team to show patience in Russian Federation . "So hopefully, he will be back for us".

One Senior Republican aide, speaking before Trump's latest remarks, pushed back on the idea that Price would face any serious consequences for his use of private planes saying unless an email revealed Price asked deliberately not to fly "with the masses", the controversy would be a few days story.

On Friday, the HHS inspector general said it "is conducting a review of Secretary Price's government travel using chartered aircraft".

Politico reported that Price's use of chartered jet on taxpayer money extended to personal use.

"The Committee is examining the extent to which non-career officials at federal departments and agencies either use government-owned aircraft for personal travel or private non-commercial aircraft for official travel", read a bipartisan letter sent to the White House Chief of Staff.

Democrats also pounced, with former colleagues in the Congress calling for Price's resignation.

Two other members of Mr Trump's cabinet are also under scrutiny for their use of private planes while on the job. "Not everybody can lease a plane like that and fly around the country".
