BREAKING: Knifeman 'shouting Allah' attacks soldier at Paris train station near Notre Dame

In the French capital of Paris, an attack on a soldier was again carried out, the France press reported. Reports state that the French soldier has not sustained any injuries.

The attack took place at around 6 a.m. local time at Châtelet, one of the city's main subway stations, said a spokeswoman for the police.

"We do not know the intentions of the attacker, who was arrested", she told Europe 1 radio.

The unidentified man is said to have rushed at a patrol of soldiers wearing combat uniforms and brandishing assault rifles.

In Paris, a knife-wielding man attacked police while shouting "Allah Akbar", while in Burgundy a hammer-wielding man attacked two women in a park while shouting ISIS slogans.

Police said that a knife-wielding assailant tried to attack a soldier but was quickly arrested and no one was hurt.

France has been on terror alert after November 2015 and the soldier was from the Operation Sentinelle force assigned to protect prominent sites after deadly Islamic extremist attacks in recent years.

The Sentinelle is a French military operation created to deploy additional police and gendarmerie forces in the country after the January 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris.

French Defence Minister Florence Parly said the number of troops involved in its Sentinelle operation would remain at 7,000 under the plan.

Frances's armed forces minister say the soldier was not injured.
