Stateless Saakashvili forces his way into Ukraine

Former Georgian President and Ukrainian Gov. Mikheil Saakashvili exiled from Ukraine when current President Petro Poroshenko revoked his citizenship reentered the country on Sunday after a crowd of supporters pushed back border agents keeping him away

To the cry of "Misha, Misha, Misha", the army of Saakashvili's supporters (according to reporters on the ground, a lot of them were activists of Saakashvili's party) viciously broke through the live cordon, violating the border, to bring Mikheil Saakashvili into the country while singing Ukrainian anthem.

Saakashvili, who studied in Ukraine and speaks fluent Ukrainian, received Ukrainian citizenship in 2015 from Poroshenko when the president made him governor of Odessa.

Mikheil Saakashvili has crossed into the country in a magical way.

Supporters who had gathered on the Ukrainian side rushed forward to greet Saakashvili and the crowd proceeded toward the Ukrainian town of Shehyni on foot. He said that he was not under investigation in Ukraine or overseas, while in fact he was being investigated in Georgia for various charges.

Mr Saakashvili has denied the accusations, branding them a political witch hunt. According to the State Border Guard Service, 12 National Police fighters and 10 border guards have sustained bodily harm. "There always must be legal responsibility", Poroshenko said in televised remarks on Monday.

"This passport is not the plaything of individual oligarchs, who issue it and then retract it, declare it invalid or use it to blackmail you", Saakashvili recently protested, threatening he would return to Ukraine soon, speaking to Der Spiegel. I do believe that many in the presidential administration had simply hoped that Saakashvili wouldn't strike back.

"Now this is a matter of law enforcement agencies and they have begun to act", Poroshenko said.

European Union voices concern over UK's stance on Ireland
Regarding the border, Barnier said that the solution will need to be unique. I think there is a solution and we're going to get on and do it.

Earlier on Sunday, Ukrainian authorities blocked a Kiev-bound train in Poland carrying Saakashvili, who eventually got off and took a bus to the Medyka crossing.

While in Warsaw on Friday, Saakashvili asserted that Ukraine was witnessing a roll-back of reforms and efforts to stem corruption, reiterating that he wanted to get back into politics.

"We didn't want this country when we stayed on Maidan", he told reporters.

"We see what he did in his own country and that's enough for us", Goretska said of Saakashvili, who set up the Movement of the New Forces political party in Ukraine.

Tbilisi on Tuesday asked Kiev to extradite Saakashvili to face charges of misappropriation of property and abuse of office among others.

Saakashvili himself referred to Georgia and his struggles there as well by stating that this march was a good sign for both Ukraine and Georgia: "Even though I am concentrated on Ukraine right now, it doesn't mean that I have forgotten about Georgia for even second".
