During the Miss America pageant Mund was asked about Trump's decision to pull out of the Paris Climate Accord and she voiced her opinion and said it was wrong to remove the US out of the negotiations. She is the official hostess for the State of Louisiana and spokesperson for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Vantage Health Plan, Propane Dealers of Louisiana and the Louisiana Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.

Fox News headlined its story: "When did the Miss America pageant turn into a Nasty Woman protest?"

After subsequently winning the crown the new Miss America said she had not cared what the impact of her answer would be on her chances. For her talent portion, Mund performed a jazz dance to "The Way You Make Me Feel" that wowed the audience and judges. "There is evidence that climate change is existing. Once we reject that, we take ourselves out of the negotiation table", she said referring to the Paris agreement.

As if being a future lawyer isn't enough, Mund is socially aware and conscious of the many problems facing the U.S. The Miss America champion wowed during the Q&A round, a segment in which contestants have only 20 seconds to answer a multi-faceted opinion question. "Despite the circumstances, she's always told me, you can't control the cards you're dealt, but you can control the hand", Mund said during the event.

"Honestly? It was to get to Miss America and make it past the Top 10", Mund said.

The first runner-up in the competition was Miss Missouri, Jennifer Davis.

Mourinho not shaken by draw
So I'm not disappointed with the players, I'm not critical with it, it's just a natural outcome . Watch all four goals from the match in our video above. "A draw was a fair result".

During an offstage interview, she made it clear she wasn't concerned about what the judges or the climate change denying chief of the country thought of her response.

It's the first time the title has gone to North Dakota.

'I'm thinking about everyone in Florida every single day, but I know that regardless what happens, we'll all get through this together, ' Zeng said.

The third and fourth positions were taken by Miss District of Colombia Briana Kinsey and Miss Texas Margana Wood.

But Cara Mund is already proving to be the ideal package of brains and beauty, as she breaks away from the bikini babe beauty queen stereotype.

The victor will take over for the current titleholder, Miss America 2017 Savvy Shields of Arkansas.
