Sebastian Vettel: "This isn't where we wanted to be"

Formula One- F1- Italian Grand Prix 2017

There is great competition for top spot in Formula One this season, especially between Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton, who are first and second in the drivers standings at present.

A day after breaking the all-time record for pole positions, Hamilton was in total control at Monza, leading team-mate Valtteri Bottas to a one-two, a report in the BBC said.

Hamilton led all but one lap en route to his second straight victory, becoming the first back-to-back victor of races in F1 this season.

Force India's Esteban Ocon finished fifth in Q3 and will start third alongside Finnish Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas.

That will lift Vettel from eighth to sixth, but behind Ferrari team mate Kimi Raikkonen, while Canadian rookie teenager Lance Stroll was promoted to a stunning front-row slot for Williams.

Felipe Massa was eighth in the Williams and Esteban Ocon ninth in the Force India after he and teammate Sergio Perez almost took each other out of the race in a ridiculous overtaking move.

Lewis Hamilton has promised to wipe the smile off rival Sebastian Vettel's face as he steps behind enemy lines for the Italian Grand Prix.

Meanwhile, Max Verstappen's woes continued in the Red Bull.

Missing student's body found; suspect to be charged
Hours before the press conference, Burleigh's father, Ed Burleigh, announced the discovery of his daughter's body on Facebook . What started as a missing-person investigation turned into a homicide in this heartbreaking case, police said.

Their cars are not as fast as the Ferrari but they have a powerful Mercedes engine and will be keen not to surrender position lightly, especially after such superb performances on Saturday. Vettel meanwhile struggled to keep P3 after coming under pressure from a roving Daniel Riccardo towards the end of the race.

"It was entertaining - it was quite good fun!"

The rain sustained, delayed the holding of the qualifying session for more than two hours after Romain Grosjean had been the victim of a violent off-track due to hydroplaning.

"For sure, they are giving us a very, very hard time, especially at the moment, but we'll see", the German told reporters.

Ocon started in third place and was second after the first corner.

It didn't take him long to get past the Finn, as he leapt ahead of Raikkonen into fourth from a long way back at Turn 1. "Up to then, we need to do our best every single time and then we count the points that we have. Hopefully, we created a few more today!"

"I can't speak for other people, but I think Kimi and myself were racing each other the whole year".
