Bill Nye Suing Disney for $9 Million

Bill Nye the Science Guy Disney Screwed Me With Bad Cash Formula!!

Beloved TV science enthusiast Bill Nye has filed a $37-million lawsuit against Disney, claiming they owe him royalty payments for his former series, "Bill Nye The Science Guy".

Nye and two producers originally developed the show with Seattle's PBS affiliate KCTS; under their deal with Disney's Buena Vista Television, the trio are supposed to split half of the show's profits.

The series "Bill Nye The Science Guy" is so popular that it is still being streamed across different platforms including Netflix. Suspicious, Nye started looking into the financial statements over the years, finding many "dubious" things in the process, per the lawsuit. However, he was reportedly met with opposition and eventually was forced to hire an external auditor.

Nye now hosts Saving The World for Netflix.

This has led the lovable Bill Nye to file a lawsuit against Disney, as he has not been paid a significant amount of money which he was owed.

Apple reportedly planning $999 price for new iPhone
Recently, we have spotted the same phone in a video where it showcases Touch ID feature at the back panel. With an off-contract price starting at $929.99, the Galaxy Note 8 is not a cheap piece of hardware.

And then, Nye's legal team said, Buena Vista stopped paying at all.

The auditor, according to the complaint, found that BVT applied incorrect rates for distribution fees, mischaracterized revenues, didn't report royalties and improperly deducted foreign taxes. But according to a lawsuit filed this week, Nye is going to attempt to school Disney just like he schooled you in the wonderful rules that govern this incredible universe of ours.

"The defendants, and each of them, have engaged in an ongoing, deliberate conspiracy to decive Mr. Nye and the BNSG Owners, and deprive them of their rightly owned share of the Net Profits from the BNSG series and derivative works", writes Rainey.

The suit states that Nye "believes and thereon alleges that as a direct and proximate result of the Defendants' breach of fiduciary duty, Plaintiff has suffered damages in the amount of not less than Nine Million Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Five Hundred Sixty dollars (USD$9,350,565.00), the final amount to be proven at trial", says the complaint, dropping some big bucks demands. He is suing for fraudulent concealment, fraudulent inducement, breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty, among other claims.
