Boy copied favourite movie scene to save drowning brother

Dwayne Johnson smiling face

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson posted a video to Instagram on Friday to deliver the news to Jacob O'Connor, the 10-year-old boy who credits the Fast and Furious star with showing him how to revive his brother.

O'Connor saved his brother from drowning by performing chest compressions he says he learned by watching The Rock in the movie San Andreas. Giving you a Twitter [salute emoticon] Jacob for saving your little brother's life.

"Jacob said he learned how to do this by watching me in his favorite movie, SAN ANDREAS".

"I was turning on a show then a minute later the doors were open", he said.

All in all, life is good for real-life-hero Jacob, and his silver-screen-hero, Dwayne.

Professional actor and wrestler Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson may not have ever given a particularly life-changing performance before - but now, thanks to a 10-year-old boy, one of his performances has become life-saving.

Dylan was rushed to the hospital and things were scary for a period of time.

According to WXYX-TV, Jacob found Dylan floating face down in their grandmother's swimming pool. The boys' mother said, "He can watch any Rock movie he wants" in reference to Jacob's actions.

"He was more, "Nana, um, Dylan opened the door and got in the backyard", Ms Vial said.

Jacob's mother Christa O'Connor, who was at work when she heard Dylan was in hospital, told the BBC she was "at a loss for words" about her elder son's actions.

Luckily, the young boy was only hospitalized for a day, and even tried to go back to the pool the next day.

When he heard of Jacob's unbelievable intervention, Dwayne Johnson tweeted: "Wow wonderful story...." "We're all proud of you!" He says that he "remembered it from the part in the movie where there was an natural disaster, then there was a tsunami, and the girl was drowning".
