Secret Service investigating Missouri lawmaker's post

State Sen. Maria Chappelle Nadal

Senate Minority Leader Gina Walsh, D-Bellefontaine Neighbors, said Chappelle-Nadal's "unacceptable behavior" has "no place in our caucus, the Capitol, or the Democratic Party".

Trump's comments "make it easier for racists to be racists", Chappelle-Nadal said.

Chappelle-Nadal's remark gained attention from the U.S Secret Service, which confirmed that it is "looking into the comments", BBC News reported.

And State Rep. Joshua Peters - a fellow democrat who has clashed with Nadal before - wrote a letter to the Missouri Senate leadership calling for an ethics investigation.

A state senator in Missouri posted a regrettable Facebook comment during an online discussion Thursday morning about President Donald Trump. "When the President apologizes, I'll apologize", she said.

Among those calling for her resignation are Democratic leaders in the Legislature, the chairman of the Missouri Democratic Party and a Missouri congressman. "He's causing trauma and nightmares.' That was my original post", she told the Kansas City Star. Saying Thursday that she isn't going anywhere. Maria Chappelle-Nadal was chatting with other people, has since been deleted.

Later, Lieutenant Governor Michael Parson tweeted out his own call for her resignation. He's causing hate. On my personal Facebook [page], I put up a statement saying that I really hate Trump.

How to watch Real Madrid vs
While Barcelona improved in the second half, they were unable to reduce the deficit as Real took the victory 5-1 on aggregate. Real Madrid starting XI (Predicted): Navas; Carvajal, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo; Modric , Casemiro, Kroos; Bale, Benzema, Isco .

Chappelle-Nadal's defiance reached a fever pitch, when she named the specific conditions Trump would have to meet in order to earn an apology from her. Both politicians are black.

The comment reads "I hope Trump is assassinated!" and is in reply to a family member of a Secret Service agent who was wondering if someone would attack the president.

She said she made the incendiary post in relation to events in Charlottesville, Virginia over the weekend, which saw a demonstration involving white supremacists marred by violence and President Trump condemned for his response.

But Chappelle-Nadal is remaining defiant in the face of overwhelming criticism. She says he's damaging the image of the United States across the world. She also referred to herself as a Patriot in an interview with KSDK, and refused to apologize for the statement.

Democratic State Senator, Maria Chappelle-Nadal, of Missouri took to social media to say, "I hope Trump is assassinated!"

Chappelle-Nadal represents University City, which includes residents in Ferguson. "The comments she made are indefensible".
