U removes Sharad Yadav as leader of party in Rajya Sabha

Amit-Nitish

"If there is any shame left, Sharad Yadav should resign from Rajya Sabha", said JD (U) leader Ajay Alok.

Yadav is now leading a campaign against the party in Bihar against Nitish Kumar's move to from Government with BJP support after pulling out of the Grand Alliance with the RJD and Congress.

The senior party leader has raised questions over the alliance saying that this decision has broken the trust of those who voted for JD (U). "He [Sharad Yadav] has not been removed from the JD (U)", party leader Vasishtha Narayana said. "The original JD (U) in association with secular forces would form a government after next general election".

JD-U spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan confirmed the removal of Sharad Yadav to IANS.

Meanwhile, BJP President Amit Shah, who had met Bihar CM and JD (U) president Nitish Kumar in New Delhi on Friday, has formally invited JD (U) to become part of the NDA government at the Centre.

Sharad Yadav said "Jab hum Indira Gandhi se nahi dare aur unke khilaf khade hue, kisi aur se kaisa darna", he said.

Chelsea Offer £25 Million For Arsenal Midfielder
The Mail claim that while Arsenal have rebuffed "initial overtures", Chelsea are set to "intensify" efforts. He will continute to move up beecause the potential is there.

The BJP is of the view that Yadav is unable to come to terms with the recent alliance between BJP and JD (U), adding the reason behind his dissension is unclear.

Mr. Kumar also suspended MP Ali Anwar from the parliamentary party group for participating in the meeting of Opposition parties here.

Besides the JD (U), Lalu Prasad's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Congress were in the three-party coalition.

"We are the real one as we are still with the principles of the JD-U, but they have changed and become BJD-U", he added, in a jibe at the Nitish Kumar faction which has sided with the BJP to form the government in Bihar. If he keeps a different opinion, then he is free to do so, Nitish had told reporters after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "He wants to split the party, which is not possible".

Kumar could take more action against Yadav and some other sulking leaders after the party's August 19 national executive meeting.
