'GLOW' has been renewed by Netflix for a second season

Netflix Are Making A Second Season Of 'GLOW' & The Internet Is Thrilled

Netflix has renewed the female-led wrestling series "GLOW", aka The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, for a second season. The series, set in the 1980s Los Angeles follows struggling actress Ruth Wilder (Alison Brie) who becomes a wrestler on a weekly series in a final bid for stardom. With tension between the two and Ruth's determination getting in the way, they must find a way to work together for the show.

Netflix didn't mention anything about when GLOW Season 2 will premiere, but we're hoping we get it right around the start of the summer in 2018.

If you haven't already seen it make time to do so now.

11-year-old girl severely burned in sick 'hot water challenge' prank
Children and teens seeing the fake challenge may not be aware of the lasting damage the boiling water can cause. Her mother told NY1 that her daughter is in a lot of pain, not only physical pain, but emotional pain too.

The show has been cleared for a second run of 10 episodes, meaning more over-the-top characters like "Zoya The Destroya", "The Welfare Queen" (played by ex-WWE star Kia Stevens) and Marc Maron's cynical portrayal of director Sam Sylvia.

The announcement came on Twitter, where Netflix shared the teaser video below. GLOW is created by Liz Flahive (Homeland, Nurse Jackie) and Carly Mensch (Nurse Jackie, Orange Is The New Black, Weeds).

Like Orange Is the New Black, GLOW, inspired by the short-lived but beloved show from the '80s, has been a critical and pop culture hit.
