11-year-old girl severely burned in sick 'hot water challenge' prank

A 12-year-old girl accused of dumping scolding hot water on her 11-year-old friend during a sleepover has been charged with assault, police say. I could only be with her for a little bit, because I can't hold myself together.

"We're trying to keep her spirits up, talking to her", the girl's aunt, Lawrene Merritt, told WCBS. She don't understand why they did that to her. It's been going on several times.

Come Thursday, the distressed mother was observed standing outside of her daughter's best friend's home screaming at the girl's mother.

Merritt was admitted to a local hospital with second-degree burns, according to NBC New York.

He also said, "Of course, we would like to urge other parties like the United States and South Korea to stop increasing tensions". The U.N. resolution bans North Korean exports of coal, iron, iron ore, lead, lead ore and seafood.

Jamoneisha Merritt, 11, was at a sleepover at her friend's house when she suffered second-degree burns to her face and shoulders, sources told the newspaper.

Her mother told NY1 that her daughter is in a lot of pain, not only physical pain, but emotional pain too. She also said she thinks the one adult inside the apartment did not do enough to prevent the attack. "I wanted to do it, '" Ebony said, although the girl's admission was not independently confirmed.

'But my daughter - I don't know what she was thinking - boiled hot water and poured it on Jamoni's face'. "But after she saw what she did to (Jamoneisha) was really wrong, she tried to kill herself". I want all that was involved to be brought to justice.

The news station said that the sick stunt was part of what has been dubbed the "hot-water challenge", in which an unsuspecting victim has hot water thrown on him or her. At this point, none of the other children are facing charges. Children and teens seeing the fake challenge may not be aware of the lasting damage the boiling water can cause.
