Shooting retaliation of Israel on the Gaza strip, three wounded

Staff at Shifa Hospital in Gaza City confirmed that three people were being treated for injuries.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.

One of the injured was a 26-year-old man who was hit in the head by shrapnel.

According to a source within Gaza reported by the Agence France-Presse news agency, Israel's strike caused significant damage to two bases belonging to Hamas's military wing.

While no group immediately claimed Tuesday's rocket fire, Israel holds Hamas responsible for all rockets emanating from the Strip.

An Israeli official said Israel's air force struck Hamas positions in the Gaza Strip overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday, injuring three Palestinians.
