Taylor Swift trial over alleged DJ groping incident to begin jury selection

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is set to appear in court to testify in a civil case that former Colorado DJ David Mueller groped her during a backstage photo-op in 2013.

Mueller says he was falsely accused by the Wildest Dreams singer of putting his hand on her bare backside during a meet and greet at Denver's Pepsi Center.

Swift and her mother Andrea will both take to the stand during the trial, as will Mueller and Shannon Melcher - his co-host on the day of the alleged assault and his girlfriend at the time. "It was not an accident, it was completely intentional, and I have never been so sure of anything in my life", Swift said of the incident during a deposition. Mr. Mueller was sacked two days later.

Jury selection began Monday for David Mueller's lawsuit against Taylor Swift.

TMZ says Taylor Swift has a sexual assult lawsuit against former DJ, David Mueller.

Swift countersued for assault and battery. Swift knows exactly who committed the assault - it was Mueller - and she is not confused in the slightest about whether her long-term business acquaintance, Mr. Haskell, was the culprit.

Mueller, who was with his then-girlfriend at the concert, said he "didn't do anything" and urged Swift's security team at the time to call the police.

Swift, one of the most successful contemporary music artists, earned $170 million between June 2015 and June 2016 following a world tour and her best-selling "1989" album, according to Forbes Magazine.

Dumi Masilela's wife devastated, says family
Masilela recently married former Muvhango actress Simphiwe Ngema in a star-studded traditional wedding. "He (Masilela) was shot in the upper body‚" police spokesperson Kay Makhubele said.

The questionnaire also asks potential jurors if they listen to KYGO, the country music station where Mueller used to work.

According to pre-trial legal documents obtained by CNN, Mueller launched a law suit in 2015 claiming Swift and her co-defendents (including her mother), falsely accused him of improperly touching the star, and is now seeking £2.3 million in damages.

According to the civil complaint, seen by DailyMail.com, he was ordered by bosses to attend Swift's show and a fan meet and greet on June 2. KYGO claims Mueller was sacked for violating the morality clause of his contract after it says it independently determined that he lied about the incident, changed his story and inappropriately touched Swift.

But if you're a Swift fan-or even if you're taking up for Mueller-don't expect to rock any supportive garb in the courtroom setting.

It's not clear when during the trial, expected to last nine days, Ms.

After escorting Mueller out of the arena, a member of Swift's team called Mueller's boss and asked that appropriate action be taken.

Later, Swift's bodyguard confronted Mueller with the allegation that he had reached under the singer's dress and grabbed her. Swift says she will donate any money she receives to charities.

Mueller's lawyer, Gabriel McFarland, has argued in previous hearings that he could be the victim of mistaken identity.
