'I was frozen': Cosby accuser says she was drugged, groped

'America's dad' on trial: Cosby sex assault case in second day

Constand said she didn't remember losing consciousness, but "jolted awake" after "feeling his hand inside my vagina" and "feeling him take my hand and place it on his penis".

Andrea Constand walks from the courtroom after testifying at Bill Cosby's sexual assault trial at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pa., Tuesday, June 6, 2017.

Bill Cosby told the mother of the woman who has accused him of sexual assault that he was a "sick man" and apologized, the mother testified on Wednesday at the comedian's criminal trial. But at the time I did not have the courage to tell my family. There are a hundred possible reasons, one of which Constand got at in her testimony: She'd been betrayed by an admired friend and wanted answers.

Los Angeles lawyer Angela Agrusa has spent a painstaking hour going over Andrea Constand's old phone records. Her deposition taken during that lawsuit is still reportedly sealed.

Agrusa tried to poke holes in Constand's account and raise questions about her credibility and motivations - but the witness largely kept her composure and stuck to her story.

The defence has argued the two had a romantic relationship, that Ms Constand was not incapacitated, and that the sexual encounter was consensual. She described being unable to resist Cosby that night after complaining to him that the unidentified pills had made her disoriented. Legal experts say the case will essentially boil down to her word against his. And I felt Mr. Cosby's hand groping my breasts under my shirt.

Constand told jurors she had only spoken with Cosby a handful of times, all related to her administrative job with the women's basketball program at Temple.

Joseph Miller, a workers' compensation lawyer, testified Tuesday he was taken aback when Johnson said she had been drugged and violated by Cosby.

At the same time, she said, Cosby became more flirtatious and suggestive - grabbing her thigh during one encounter at his home and attempting to unbutton her trousers in another.

At another point, Cosby invited her back to his home to talk about Temple basketball and about her career.

Her testimony continued to say she had trouble standing up after taking the pills and that Cosby led her to the couch to lie down and gave her a pillow before she became unconscious. She initially told officers she had never been alone with Cosby before the night of the incident and that she had largely cut off contact with him afterward, neither of which was true. She testified that she told him she did not.

Constand, wearing sneakers, a white blouse, khakis and a pale blue blazer, responded that she was "mistaken" or "confused" and overwhelmed when she provided some of the statements.

Cosby, 79, is charged with aggravated indecent assault and he could be jailed for 10 years if convicted.

"I was mistaken", Constand said, referring to the type of meal they had.

Either recordings of phone calls between Constand representatives of Cosby after the alleged assault were poorly recorded (possible!) or the audio in the Montgomery County courthouse is awful (also possible!).

Constand will take the stand again Wednesday.

Constand said it was just business concerning the university basketball team. "Are they herbal?" she recalled asking the entertainer when he gave her three pills.

Agrusa grilled Constand on phone calls she made to a half-dozen lawyers, starting on the same day she reported the incident to police, in an effort to show Constand was after Cosby's money.
