Iran's Revolutionary Guard strikes Syria for Tehran attacks

Iran launches missiles into eastern Syria

Iran fired missiles on Sunday into eastern Syria, aiming at the bases of militant groups it holds responsible for attacks in Tehran which left 18 dead last week, Iran's Tasnim news agency reported.

The launch of surface-to-surface medium range missiles into Syria's Deir Ezzor province comes as ISIL militants fleeing a US-led coalition onslaught increasingly try to fortify their positions there.

It did not immediately offer other specifics, other than to say the missiles were launched from Iran.

On June 7, 23 people were killed and scores injured in attacks claimed by Daesh on Iran's parliament building and the shrine of Ayatollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic.

Kamala Harris, a prosecutor and a senator
Harris was in the midst of pressing Sessions to name that policy, explain it, and say whether he's reviewed it since when Sen . BILA: That's fine, but saying - do you know how many headline I read? "Well, will you let me qualify it", Sessions responded.

"The spilling of any innocent blood will not go unanswered", Press TV cited a statement by the Revolutionary Guards as saying. Deir el-Zour is home to both Islamic State militants and civilians.

Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attacks, but Shi'ite Iran also is blaming Sunni Saudi Arabia for stirring up violence.

That attack marked the first to hit Iran, shocking its residents who believed the chaos engulfing the rest of the Middle East would not find them in the Shiite-majority nation. Iran has arrested dozens of terrorists since the Tehran attacks.
