Warriors' Green stays in Game 4 after technical foul fiasco

Volatile Green remains key to Warriors success

The Cleveland Cavaliers managed to extend the series with a lopsided home victory over the Golden State Warriors, but the final score took a bit of a backseat to other incidents.

But it's now up to the Cavaliers to make sure the series doesn't fall under in terms of games.

"I'm confident, energetic and positive about the opportunity we have in front of us", said Curry, while putting the past behind him, or doing his best, anyway. "At the end of the day, we want to just try to put ourselves in position to play another game". However, like a year ago, the Cavaliers are seeking to break new ground and they'll get their opportunity to take another step toward that goal when Game 5 tips off just after 9 p.m. ET on Monday night. The matchup between one of the best teams and one of the greatest players ever deserves a focus on the Warriors and Cavs, not the men blowing the whistles. But it was a flawless storm for the Cavaliers as so many things contributed to the Warriors' collapse.

Last season, Draymond Green lost his cool in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Overall, they have more weapons and they appear to have grown and matured from last year's meltdown. Green apparently didn't see it that way, and in his frustration he did the thing you're never supposed to do: he did the big dismissive hand wave at the ref who made the call. You are not going to win a game in which your opponent shoots 53 percent from the floor and hits 24 threes.

"(The physicality) benefited the Cavs tonight, for sure", coach Steve Kerr said. Maybe he will, I don't know. Angry, in-your-face discussions. Hard, physical play. Green protested. Kerr protested. Green elevated his arms to the crowd when the Warriors received notice of his supposed second technical foul, as if to tell fans, "Bring it on". Unknown to them and everyone else in the building was that official John Goble had actually called the tech on head coach Kerr, who reacted angrily to the common foul call.

Lavrov: Russia makes efforts to resolve Qatar dispute
Analysts have raised the prospect of a palace coup in Qatar, a hereditary monarchy with a history of such changes in leadership. They had already earlier in the week blocked direct flights between their countries and Qatar.

Game 4 of the 2017 NBA Finals featured a whole lot of confusion - and an absolute mess - thanks to the officiating crew. The resulting flagrant foul mandated Green be suspended from Game 5 in Oakland.

Golden State star forward Kevin Durant and National Basketball Association superstar LeBron James both received technical fouls after they jawed with one another during the third quarter. "Like I said, I think because of experience". Got to come out with some fire and get it done.

And so there are incentives the Warriors will drag into Game 5.

First of all, very nice pun, pairing up "officials have been officially paid". "Everything is accessible. Social media is everywhere", said Irving, who scored 40 points.

That chatter, Irving said, "adds some extra motivation".
