Lalu puts up brave front amid IT raids

According to a report Lalu Yadav’s eldest daughter Misa Bharti had bought land worth Rs 100 crore for just Rs 1 crore

Officials said the department began raiding the premises of some prominent businessmen and real estate agents in Delhi, Gurgaon, Rewari and few others since early morning.

The RJD chief remained confined within his 10 Circular Road residence throughout the day as the raids targetted properties acquired through alleged dubious deals by his family members including his MP-daughter Misa Bharti and his two sons.

While raids were conducted at a dozen locations, ten other premises were surveyed, IT sources said.

"The politics of Lalu Prasad has become politics of loot land worth crores of rupees was grabbed for a pittance", he said.

The Union minister said the land deals dated back to the time when Lalu Prasad was the Union railway minister in the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government and also urged Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar to initiate a probe in the matter. Lalu's younger son Tejashwi Yadav is the deputy chief minister of Bihar.

A senior office said that people and entrepreneurs are associated with the land transaction connecting Lalu Prasad is being examined.

Will enact law for Muslims if SC bans triple talaq
Former Minister Arif Khan stated that the practice, far from being fundamental to Islam, violates the Quranic mandate. "The scope of referring had all the three issues that was divorce, nikah halala , polygamy".

According to Prasad, it has now dawned on the opposition that the BJP is winning successive elections and people's faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi is increasing because of the enhanced ethical quotient in governance and decision-making.

Following the IT raids, Sushil Kumar Modi told the media in Patna that his stand was "vindicated".

Mamata Banerjee's tweet was in response to Lalu Yadav's post from two days ago, when he had alleged a conspiracy to jail him to ensure that he can not hold a mega rally he has announced in August to bring together parties to take on the ruling BJP.

Asking the media and the BJP not to jump to the conclusion over his message "Congrats to BJP on its new alliance partners", the RJD leaders clarified that it does not mean BJP will get JD (U) as the new ally.

Challenging the Centre to reveal the names of the 22 places raided, the former Bihar chief minister said, "At least tell which 22 places were raided, you illiterates".

"The Government, using the CBI and other agencies, is targeting my son and his friends. The Government's aim is to silence my voice and stop me from writing, as it has tried to do in the cases of leaders of Opposition parties, journalists, columnists, NGOs and civil society organisations", he said.
