Melissa McCarthy adds spice (and Spicer) as host of 'SNL'

Analysis: After Trump fired Comey, his staff scrambled to explain why

Everyone knows that it irks Trump to see Sean Spicer played by a *gasp* woman on Saturday Night Live, so you can bet he didn't dig what went down live from NY on Saturday night.

And SNL delivered what is easily the show's best Sean Spicer sketch yet in an episode from this past weekend hosted by Melissa McCarthy.

SPICER: I think - I said - I was very clear that the president would have nothing further on that last week.

"Let me put this whole Russian thing to bed: Trump is innocent", he seethed at the press corps.

"I know we think this every week, but this week was insane", says Colin Jost, in kicking off Weekend Update.

Vodafone To Transfer 35% Stake In Safaricom To Vodacom
All this will leave Vodafone with a raised 70% stake in Vodacom, and a much reduced 5% stake in Safaricom. The Kenyan government will retain its 35% stake in Safaricom.

Next week is the show's season finale, with Baldwin already locked down to play Trump.

The FBI is investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 USA election and it has been reported that Comey sought more resources to investigate links between Russia and Trump's campaign. Interviewed by NBC News' Lester Holt (actually cast member Michael Che), Trump was asked if he could assure the nation he wouldn't name someone "crazy" to replace ousted FBI Director James Comey. Had Trump been feeding him lies? Spicer asked Trump after tracking him down. He buzzes through Manhattan streets, passing by CNN's headquarters and then onto Fifth Avenue to Trump Tower, only to find out he's at one of his golf courses in New Jersey.

"Have you ever told me to say things that aren't true?"

There's no question that working in Donald Trump's communications department is no easy task, especially now that he's president. "It was very quiet at first, and I'm thinking, 'The audience is already turning before they even know what's going on.' There was this weird, great delay, and first people figure out it's Spicer and then they figure out it's me".
