'Dr Phil' to air interview with Aaron Hernandez's fiancee

Shayanna Jenkins Hernandez told Dr Phil she has doubts that her fiance Aaron Hernandez took his own life when he was found hanging in his jail cell in April

And despite the fact that Aaron penned several suicide notes before taking his own life, it appears as though Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez thinks the footballer's letter to her could be fake.

The Worcester County District Attorney's Office announced Hernandez's cause of death was suicide.

"It seemed well thought out; in a sense none of it is very believable to me. There is some unaccounted for time and things weren't done properly", Jenkins Hernandez said.

In Shayanna Jenkins first interview since his death, she revealed why she still has lingering doubts about his sudden passing. "We were definitely leaning more toward an innocent verdict".

"I honestly don't think that we said "I love you" to each other", Jenkins Hernandez said. "He was very positive, so excited to come home. there was no indication at all of such events". Because Hernandez's initial appeal was still pending when he died, the conviction was vacated last week.

Hernandez's suicide came just five days after he was acquitted in a 2012 double slaying. "Our last talk had nothing to do with suicidal thoughts". "I of course have listened to it, I know the song".

The former National Football League athlete hanged himself last month in a MA prison cell where he was serving a life sentence for murder.

President Trump, Sean Spicer are the 'stars' on a new 'SNL'
And this is why you may have seen video earlier in the week of McCarthy driving her press podium on the streets of New York City. But if not, this was a fitting send-off for one of the more surprisingly indelible aspects of this season.

Hernandez had written three suicide notes: one to Jenkins-Hernandez, another to his four-year-old daughter and now, Newsweek reports, one to his jailhouse beau Kyle Kennedy, 22. She wore her engagement ring in the Dr. Phil interview.

Part of the message to Jenkins-Hernandez also said: "You're rich". "I try to keep her in a whole positive direction". She thought daddy was at work.

In addition to claiming to have been shocked at her fiancee's murder conviction, Jenkins-Hernandez said that she "truly" didn't believe that Aaron Hernandez was guilty of the crime.

"Aaron was spiritual but he wasn't the kind of guy to get up every Sunday and go to church", she told Dr. Phil.

"It screamed love, but it wasn't personal". It was oddly short, and rather than calling her "babe" or "bae", he addressed her by name, she said.

"It's just not the Aaron that I know", Jenkins-Hernandez said in the interview.

There were also peculiarities in his suicide note to her, she said. "The handwriting was similar but I feel like, again, you have nothing but time in there, so, I feel like it's easily duplicated or could be". I've said it over and over. "It wasn't intimate", she said. "I feel like he could have been saved or something could have been done or whatever the case may have been, I feel like someone was in the wrong somewhere".
