BlackBerry's latest smartphone has finally launched in the United Kingdom, although it's not easy to get your hands on one.
After a long wait, TCL has finally announced the launch date for the BlackBerry KeyOne for the U.S. and Canada markets. It has a 4.5-inch FullHD IPS touchscreen, an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor and 64-bit Adreno 605 GPU.
The delay isn't expected to hurt sales much, analysts said, partly because there are 275 million BlackBerry customers worldwide - many of whom may want a newer phone with physical keys.
Unfortunately for everyone - including BlackBerry diehards - the KeyOne is a pretty underwhelming device overall.
BlackBerry and TCL just announced the release of the KEYone in USA and Canada, starting from the end of May. On KEYone, each key on the keyboard will be customizable too.
However, other markets should also receive the smartphone in the days to come. Vodafone UK has also confirmed that it will be selling the BlackBerry KEYone "soon".
The BlackBerry® KEYone reimagines how we communicate with a Smart Keyboard that goes beyond typing. Being the first BlackBerry device from TCL, all eyes - okay, maybe like a dozen eyes - are on the new KeyOne to see exactly how good or bad it is. The KeyOne is the first TCL-manufactured BlackBerry phone to feature a physical keyboard, which was the signature feature of BlackBerry smartphones years ago. It also comes with the usual selection of BlackBerry software preinstalled, including BBM and BlackBerry's DTEK software, which is created to keep the phone running quickly and smoothly.

In December 2016, the Ontario-based BlackBerry licensed the right to manufacture its hardware to Chinese electronic company TCL, though Blackberry is still behind the scenes working on the software. There is an 8-megapixel front facing camera with a wide-angle lens and a flash module. It runs on a 3505mAh battery that's said to give all-day battery life and support QuickCharge 3.0 with a "Boost" charging feature that gives 50 percent charge in "roughly 36 minutes". There's no word when BlackBerry plans to bring the KeyOne to India.
