Call of Duty WWII Has Been Confirmed, Reveal Coming April 26

Activision has officially revealed their brand new WW2 Call of Duty game, from Sledgehammer Games, the developers behind 2014's Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

As the title "Call of Duty: World War 2" suggests, the game will be set in the 1940s. The leak also teases "exciting new ways to interact and socialize with their friends and the Call of Duty community".

Gamers have been asking for a historical Call of Duty game for years now.

Activision revealed that last year's release Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare had underperformed. More details about the game will be revealed during the COD: WWII Worldwide Reveal Livestream on coming Wednesday. WWII will be developed by Sledgehammer Games and co-founders Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield will be presenting the livestream when the time comes. Call of Duty: WWII will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. While the images were quickly taken down and replaced, a vigilant Reddit user managed to capture them beforehand, seen below. The images show USA soldiers seemingly storming France's Normandy beach, an event known as D-Day and one of the most infamous World War II operations. Once such wish is a robust ranking system in "Call of Duty: World War 2", similar to that of "Rainbow Six: Siege" and "Overwatch".

Cespedes said he felt a "shock" in his hamstring while running to second base during a double-play grounder by 1B Jay Bruce . New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (hamstring) is not in the lineup Friday against the Washington Nationals.

A 2017 Call of Duty beta would allow Sledgehammer Games to test servers as well as work on weapon balancing and skill progression ahead of an official release. Given that this is a game set in World War II, this isn't exactly a huge surprise.

As of now, no other updates has been given about "Call of Duty: WWII" aside from the released blog statement.

The decision to do a complete 180, after all the time spent developing a futuristic Call of Duty, is an interesting one. Everything about the highly anticipated "Call of Duty: WWII" will be revealed this April 26 on a live stream.
