Hillary Clinton chides Donald Trump on Syrian refugee ban after airstrikes

Clinton, who spoke at the Women in the World conference in NY on Thursday, called for the U.S. Congress to launch an investigation into the matter.

Hillary Clinton has chided President Donald Trump for ordering massive airstrikes on Syria and said the U.S. can not in one breath speak of protecting Syrian babies and in the next close America's doors to them.

Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton reacted Friday to the United States strike on Syria, saying the United States needs a long-term plan to stop future attacks on civilians by the regime of President Bashar al-Assad.

Hillary Clinton visited Houston Friday for a fundraiser for Annie's List, an organization that promotes women in Texas politics.

Clinton adds that the USA could not "in one breath speak of protecting Syrian babies and in the next, close America's doors to them".

NDP responded by promising to slash tolls on both the Port Mann and Golden Ears bridges. Liberals support the pipeline, while the NDP and Greens oppose it.

Clinton hoped that the White House moves forward with a broader strategy and consistent with American values.

Clinton said family and friends "rallied around me in an fantastic way" and used the platform Thursday to level barbs against the Trump administration, which she said was going through "some very public growing pains".

Hours before the attack, Clinton called for the attack in the war-torn country.

Clinton addressed President Donald Trump's decision to launch a missile strike on Syrian forces for using chemical weapons against civilians. "The role the USA plays in the world matters", Clinton said. Her own 9-point loss to Trump in Texas, she said, was the closest presidential election in the state in two decades. "What [Vladimir] Putin wanted to do was sow distrust and confusion as well as influence our election", she said and added that its time U.S. political leaders act like "patriotic Americans". "I really believe we should have and still should take out his airfields and prevent him [Assad] from being able to bomb innocent people and drop sarin gas on them", said Clinton.
