Beadle to host ESPN NBA studio coverage through NBA Finals

Of course, no one at ESPN would actually say that Steele was taken off her show due to her political beliefs, nor could such a thing be definitively proved from the outside looking in.

On Tuesday, the ESPN announced that Michelle Beadle will now host the basketball show on ABC and ESPN.

ESPN president John Skipper spoke up two days after reports surfaced that Michelle Beadle replaced Sage Steele as the full-time host on "NBA Countdown" April 6.

Steele has become a staple on the network where she has worked for over a decade. "Did I mention that Kawhi Leonard is the M.V.P. of the league?"

However, while no one can prove Steele's political views are the reason for her removal from NBA Countdown, it's perfectly reasonable to claim that the reaction to her firing has everything to do with her political views. While noting that she missed her flight from LAX to Houston in the run-up to the Super Bowl, Steele expressed sadness on Instagram about elderly people and parents with small children whose travel plans were similarly disrupted. Yes, immigrants were affected by this as well.

Apple, Google's joining Toshiba bid lowers SK hynix' chance
With its memory chip business up for grabs, Toshiba could be in for a big windfall. Toshiba officials were not immediately available for comment.

Skipper's comment ran counter to the narrative that subsequently sprouted on social media that falsely reported that Steele was sacked from the network.

A lot of fans were absolutely in disbelief when Sage Steele made the comment considering that she is very professional towards anybody.

And at the NBA's celebrity All-Star game a year ago, she cut short an interview with Win Butler from the band Arcade Fire when he started to talk about his political opinions. She also took heat in November for criticizing Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans for sitting down during the national anthem to protest Donald Trump's election.

"Instead of praising or uplifting each other, way too many people of color choose to tear down, mock and spew hatred at other blacks who feel differently, think differently, or make decisions that are different from theirs", Steele wrote on her Facebook page.
